Leasing assistants accompany prospective renters to view properties of their choice. They discuss the size and layout of the rooms, location of shopping centers and the schools nearby. Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies, Marketing, Estate Management, Mass Communications or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year ( Junior Executive level ), 3 year(s) ( Executive Level ) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Fresh graduate are encourage to apply.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin language would be highly advantageous.
  • Well versed in communicating with potential tenants to identify their requirements and convince them to rent a space.
  • Able to exercise appropriate customer care attitude and decorum when conducting leasing operations.
  • Have skilled in effectively organizing the operations of a leasing department to maximize profit and work efficiency.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Efficient, accurate with details and with strong analytical skills.
  • Possess own transport.

Job Duties:

  • Process rental applications as efficiently and effectively as possible. For example, rental application processing should take no longer than one week from receipt date. Providing customer service in the completion of applications. If applicant is rejected by the Property Manager, send rejections letter (regular and certified mail).
  • Assist Property Managers with tenant recertification. Track all verifications for a 5-day return requirement – make telephone and fax inquiries to ensure a speedy response.
  • Enter and close work orders.
  • Maintain tenant and rental application files.
  • Send late rent letters and general notices to tenants as needed.
  • Answering phones, handling Property Management calls or transfer callers to appropriate department. Taking down messages for employees, completing maintenance work orders, responsible for front desk coverage to assist applicants who walk-in and may need assistance completing rental applications, explaining AHEAD Inc. various properties (subsidized, non-subsidized, elderly and disable vs. family properties) give/explain income guidelines if requested and explain how rent is calculated for subsidized properties.
  • Sort mail, stamp with Property Management stamp, date and fax to PM remote offices as needed.
  • Collect rent payments received by tenant walk-ins and payments received by mail.
  • Process rent payments in Classic, prepare deposits, photo copy checks and deposits for Accounts Payable Dept. and bring deposits to the banks when needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining office supplies and paper products inventory for the PM office.
  • Perform interoffice duties and bring mail to the Post Office at the end of the day when needed as back-up for Office Manager.
